Garden Design and Landscaping Cheltenham, Cotswolds and Gloucestershire

Cook outside, all year. This Cheltenham outdoor kitchen and dining space is roofed and lit, with a Bull BBQ (@bullbbquk) at its heart, a hand-tiled splashback, a Belfast sink and festoon lights overhead. The weather can do what it likes. We do garden design and build across the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire, outdoor kitchens included, and we`ve learned the good ones are planned long before they`re used. Follow us for more garden projects.

We love this time of year. The sun still has warmth but the light is changing and gives the most wonderful scenes in the garden. The movement in the border gives off so much energy in the light autumnal breeze.

Gardens give so much more than just a view and a place to be, they can create an atmosphere. As garden designers we spend time to understand our clients and lifestyles and ask questions and get an understanding of our clients needs, needs they do not even know they want yet.

AI cannot do that. It is only as good as the person inputting the information and if you don`t explore the real need of the outside space and how it can change your lifestyle then it will not be the best it can be for you.

Transform your garden and increase the amount of time you spend outside.

It is lovely when we get a message from a client saying how gorgeous their garden is looking so we popped in to say hi and took a little video.

Even the tiniest space can be a sanctuary.

Can you spot the hidden bike store too?

Now it has stopped raining we have been able to finish off the levelling and start getting the structure of the steel edged paths in what is going to be a naturalistic garden. Cannot wait to see this one finished. Full of wildflowers and really special trees. Wild gardens can still look good.

When you look out at garden furniture in a british garden who knows what the weather will be. Running in and out with covers or cushions is a real pain. When the sun comes back out after a rain shower you have to go and get a cushion to sit out is a real pain. But what about furntiure that can truely stay outdoors all year round and look amazing no matter the time of the year. Step in a great british brand. @oxleysfurniture

Built to last and last a lifetime time and can be left out all year round without a cover. When it looks like this whats not to lov. This is the Octavia range made in collaboration with the @nationaltrust

This gorgeous oxleys furniture in a little garden we have done for my dad. Not only is this furntiure stunningly beautiful is is of the highest quality. So comfortable without a cushion (they can come with cushions too). I love this colour too there are other chosen. It really is classic and will not date or rust onto the the pale limestone as some cheaper products will. Worth every penny.

We have been showing the small courtyard portfolio lately but we also design and build larger projects. This was the second project for this client and we love working with clients we already know. Make the process so much fun as we all know each other`s preferences and needs.

The pool was designed to over look the horses field where foals are born every year. Just magical place to swim.

Designed and built by us with a collaboration on the pool with @compass_the_pool_company

`I would love a bigger garden as I would like a garden office, a sandpit for our daughter, a grass space for her too, a sofa to relax on, a table and chairs to eat on, oh and a bike store. There is no way we cqn fit that in our tiny garden`........in step the designers. Great design means you can have it all.

This garden does have all of the above. A fold way dining table, bike store behing the bespoke office but can you spot the sandpit?

Whether it is a tiny courtyard or large estate they all have design challenges. Intelligent design is what we excel in. Not just a cut and paste format to make it look pretty but to make a space that really works.

A new garden showing in our portfolio on our website. This was a dark and unused space and we wanted to work with the clients to create a garden that was inviting to be outside. We wanted both sun and shade areas to sit in. Often people worry about not having lawn in small spaces and that it will not feel like a garden...but we disagree. This garden is a good size with no lawn but luxurious planting softens the paving and soft curves and textures create a relaxed but smart garden. The pergola and pleached trees give a sense of privacy from the surrounding houses and to create dapple shade in an inviting seating zone at the back of the garden.

Where would be your favourite area to sit in this garden?

Another wrap.

We do love a small courtyard in between the larger projects. It is always a joy to transform small spaces and to utilise every part of the garden. Now for the furniture to arrive, the water to bowl to be added for the final touches and the plants to mature of course.

A new case study is up on the website. Find out more about this project by going to link in bio.

Came across this garden today that we built 12 years ago! Really i hear you shout but it looks so current and fresh. Great design can create the feeling of a timeless garden. Although garden fashions do change it is slow and gardens can be updated and we love being at the forefront of great design so your investment will stand the test of time.

What to push the limits of what you can get out of the garden and create something really special for yourselves, then invest in the design process. It will get you so much more than you ever imagined.

So our predictions for next year: more outdoor living and wellness, saunas, coldwater tubs, outdoor baths to go alongside that kitchen all in naturalistic planting. So exciting to see if we are right ....

What do you predict?

We love creating outdoor living spaces to really be in. This garden has it all hot tub, cold water plunge pool and covered outdoor kitchen and chill out space and a vegetable plot to grow food for the bbqs. Design and built completely in house with our team has meant very detail of the design concept was bought to life.

Whats would your dream garden have in it?

The beginning of making an unused boring side space into a fabulous courtyard with a fitted bench and coffee table for a lovely nook to relax in. The house has been built by the beautiful #churchamhomes and house were designed by @coombes.everitt.architects, and it needs the landscaping it deserves. We have designed the walls to look like they were built with the house, and as this space is directly outside the master bedroom suit, we wanted it to feel part of the house. Cannot wait to show the end results when all the plants are in to soften this space and bring it alive.
