We might think we are nurturing our garden, but of course it’s our garden that is really nurturing us

It is incredible the difference of a couple of months. This planting has really flourished and thank goodness for the irrigation system to get this garden established this year.

A tiny space does not mean you can not have much in it. Here are the befores of a dated dull garden and the small courtyard full of family use once we had finished the design and build.

A bespoke garden room to replace the old summer house was bigger abd more functional as an office and playroom. Behind it space for the bikes to be stored, a gate to the alley way with a coded lock (no carrying keys) for practicality when biking and a covered area to increase storage all combine to make a bigger usuable garden room rsther than ending up trying to be used for striage too. 2 zoned patio spaces were created, one for a corner sofa and an area for a table and chairs. Furniture is on the way and we will photograph the garden when it is in.

A small hidden sand pit gives the toddler in the family their own space, and it can become a space for vegetables or herb area as the child grows and changes. The green lawn space is an area to throw out a picnic blanket or bean bag and relax. This garden has been created with the family to get a whole new room out of their home. We hope they love it as much we are proud of this one. Designing small functional spaces is always so much fun.

Love doing an entrance to a home. It is so important to take a breath and know you can relax. Just finshing a gorgeous Cotswold cottage near Painswick.

Not all paths need to be straight. This is designed to make you slow down and meander and look at the plants. Planting just needs to mature, and we got it planted in perfect time for the rain to do the watering!

We so need this rain. Let's gope it is enough, but not too much.

Keeping with the theme of outdoor kitchens this weekend. Need rest bite from the sun them make a destination in you garden. This pergola roof opens for rain sun or shine from @rensonoutdoor_uk @johnh_renson. This was installed in the area in phase 2 of the garden design a few years after the original build, but it was designed with this space in mind and ability to install it at a later date. The bricks supplied by @_londonstone to create a zoned textured layer and the @cubicoutdoorliving kitchens give a minimal kitchen that matches the pergola perfectly. It has given a previously under utilised part of the garden a place where the family now use a lot.

Uncovered vs. covered outdoor kitchen designs is the topic of our new blog. One question we often discuss with clients should the kitchen be covered? Check out our blog. The link is in profile to read about this, but in the meantime, here are a few kitchens we have designed and built.

 Which is your favourite?

There are so many styles and ways to cook. Create a kitchen that is all about your style and lifestyle

When you have an unusable slope in the garden, then why not turn it into a gorgeous walk down the garden with a relaxing wildlife pool right outside the back door. There is nothing like watching the dragonflies come and go along with all the other insects and birds that benefit from the water. And don't forget the calming effect of the sound of the trickle of water. We designed this with cotswold dry stone walls to make it seamless with the existing walls at this cottage in the cotswolds. Now, who would like a walk through this planting with butterflies floating by and the bees buzzing.

We love it when someone wants a wildlife pool but has no idea where to put it.

Work in a tropical oasis that you can feel like every day is a holiday.

We thank the client so much for working with us on such a fun project, and the results really show. The client loves tropical style plants, and their interiors were so styish that we had to follow it outside. Thank you to the client for putting their trust in us to come up with this deisgn and implent it to its full potential. We loved this project.
