This Grade II listed property boasts a attractive and sophisticated large, side garden. The contemporary space is refined in style with a pleasant entertaining space, outdoor kitchen and lawn, whilst offering panoramic, exquisite views of the it's central Cheltenham locality.

The Brief:
Originally, a large monotonous lawn covered the garden. The space needed depth, definition and function, whilst in keeping with the property's historic and architectural significance.

The client desired a contemporary entertaining space with formal elegance, as well as an outdoor kitchen setting with formal elegance. To sit, relax and enjoy with family and friends.

To achieve the client's vision, our team of garden designers and landscape gardeners Cotswolds created a plan that incorporated various levels, textures, and colors.

The elegant property required an attractive design, to match the property's unique and sophisticated character. The space has a defined patio attached to a formal lawn which offers structure and refinement of the garden. The lawn is surrounded by tiered evergreen hedging, with gaps which inhabit contrasting large, artisan feature pots which are rustic bronze in colour.

Luscious evergreen planting such as Prunus lusitanica hedging and clipped Taxus baccata cubes establish the formal elegance of the garden. Whilst softer, naturalistic informal planting offers the contemporary edge to the hard landscaped space.

We retained the existing tree from the garden, as offers an overhead dappled shade for the entertaining and dining area. The garden consists of comfortable garden furniture, such as sun loungers and arm chairs enhancing the enjoyable contemporariness of the garden.

The outdoor kitchen area includes a fire fuelled barbeque oven, with log storage and counter top work space for cooking preparations. This makes it the perfect outdoor kitchen for catering and hosting larger parties.
